Alejandra Murillo Jimenez oversees the creation of unique wholesome menu and cleansing plans for clients of the The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel. Her key responsibilities include research and implementation of healthy food trends, paleo and superfoods into the F&B offerings of the property as well as the incorporation of wellness equipment and suppliers into the production process. Jimenez plays a vital role in upholding The Retreat’s all encompassing wellness experience, as the Middle East’s first holistic well-being resort. Her role and passion to achieve a holistic approach to wellness at the property fuels her drive to uplift the guest experience from a culinary standpoint. Jimenez is equipped with over a decade of international experience in the hospitality and corporate industries, from which stems her keen attention to details and strong interpersonal skills. Brands such as Kempinski and Raddison Hotels has stood to gain from her insight and market expertise as she took on leadership positions of client services and people management. She moved on to serve as brand manager for ADD-MIND Hospitality in 2015, where her role saw her investing in extensive research and market exploration, giving rise to her interest in the wellness aspect of F&B management. The hospitality professional is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and German, allowing her to converse with ease with a variety of clients. She has held various consulting positions with renowned brands including JuicyLifestyleDubai and Flip International, overseeing the research behind, conceptualizing and creating menus of venues including Fruteiro do Brasil, Seed, and an international array of outlets under Sheza Hotels, part of the Kempinski brand. Over the course of three years in the nutrition field, she has honed her understand and appreciation for high quality, healthy ingredients, suppliers and equipment, placing her in the ideal position to tackle the wellbeing requirements of the guests at The Retreat Pam Dubai MGallery by Softiel. Her drive to provide clients with exemplary advice saw her developing her understanding of the field further, by enrolling for further education, at the Matthew Kenney Culinary Academy and the Institute Integrative Nutrition New York, where she explored the subjects of ‘Fundamentals of raw vegan cuisine’ and ‘Holistic nutrition and health coaching’ respectively.
